MASTERPLAN

MASTERPLAN

The Woodberry Down Masterplan sets out the long-term vision for transforming the estate, which was originally built between the 1940s and 1970s, into a modern, mixed and sustainable neighbourhood in north Hackney.

The Masterplan brings together new homes, community spaces, shops, green areas, and improved pedestrian and cyclist connections — creating a place designed for everyone.

Consultation to date

The landscape-led Masterplan for Phases 5 to 8 was shaped through several stages of engagement with the Council, local community and wider stakeholders, including 19 pre-application meetings, over 70 hours with the Design Committee, 8 presentations to WDCO Board and 14 in-person community workshops and consultation events.

The total number of consultation events that have taken place on the Masterplan are listed below. In addition to these, the delivery partners meet on a regular basis to discuss the emerging proposals.

We will continue to engage with residents, young people and community groups throughout each phase of the project.
